Lambson Building Products Continue Sponsorship
Lambson Building Products and Laminated Products continue a longstanding tradition of supporting local sporting and athletic groups and events, with their sponsorship of the Allerton Park Horse Trials 2019.
The Allerton Park Horse Trials are an annual event, held in the grounds of Allerton Castle, in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. The event is fully affiliated to British Eventing, equestrian eventing’s national governing body, and meets the highest standards of health and safety and animal welfare.
The event has grown significantly over the last 20 years, thanks mainly to the dedication and commitment of the 200+ local volunteers who organise, manage and deliver the show. With the incredible hard work of the organisers and the continued support of their sponsors, Allerton Park Horse Trials has become a key date in the sport’s calendar.
Managing Director, Operations Director, David Bean, spoke about the sponsorship. “We’re thrilled to be involved with the event again, Lambson have proud tradition of sponsorship with sports teams and events within the Yorkshire area. For a company of our size, it’s important for us to support community events like this.”
Olympic medallist Ian Stark OBE designed the courses at Allerton Park, drawing on extensive knowledge, having designed and built courses all over the world. Actual construction was completed by Dominic Lawrence, who was involved with building courses for the London 2012 Olympic Games. This level of design and construction makes Allerton Park a popular course with Olympic hopefuls.
Lambson Building Products and Laminated Products were proud to sponsor one such hopeful last year. The Yorkshire rider, Chloe Bell, with sights set on Tokyo 2020, wore the company name while winning the Advanced Competition, adding to an already excellent reputation in the sport of eventing.
David continued, “we’re just doing our little bit to try and promote Yorkshire on a global scale really. If our sponsorship can help build this event and maybe get a couple of riders to Olympic standard, then it’s been a success. It would be nice to have another world champion from Yorkshire.”
The Allerton Park Horse Trials take place between September 21st and 22nd, just outside Knaresborough, north of Leeds. Visit https://www.allertonparkhorsetrials.co.uk/spectators to find out more about the event.
