Solid Surface Fabrication
Dedicated Solid Surface Fabrication Department Added to Production Facility
Lambson Building Products and Laminated Products have introduced solid surface into their ever growing worktop range. The material has the appearance similar to that of marble or granite but can be shaped, moulded and repaired with much less effort. Solid surface is extremely durable, impact resistant, cannot delaminate and stands up well to daily wear and tear
Commercial Director, Tim Russel, commented on the new product range:
“After the hugely successful introduction of Lechner (Worktops), we have been on the lookout for a new, quality product to add to our worktop range and this ticks all the boxes. The applications and designs of solid surface are limited only by the customer’s imagination. It’s a truly beautiful product, and the reaction from the market has already been extremely positive.”
Due to the immediate popularity of the new product range, a dedicated fabrication area has been set up within the Castleford based factory. The new Solid Surface Department is already producing a range of products for new and existing customers. The composition of the material means it can be shaped and glued together inconspicuously in any number of designs. Kitchen worktops, vanities, fireplaces and retail countertop are just a sample of the products available.
“The material is scratch resistant yes but also ultra-hygienic and non-toxic. So not only is it perfect for domestic kitchens but also for public areas such as schools, airports, hospitals and hotels, which opens up even more markets for us. The great thing about this product is that it adds a traditional, quality look but with benefit of easy installation and a repairable surface.”
